Partner program terms

These terms govern the Level Up partner program, operated by Playful Digits SRL. They are meant to be read rather than skimmed past, so they are written in plain language and kept short.

1. Who this is between

This agreement is between you (the “Partner”) and Playful Digits SRL, CUI 50092060, of Bogdan Voda 14, Bucharest 010936, Romania (“Level Up”, “we”, “us”).

You take part as an independent business. Nothing here makes you our employee, agent, or representative, and you may not present yourself as any of those or speak on our behalf.

2. Joining

Anyone may create a partner account. We do not review applications before you start, because we would rather you be able to publish today than wait on us. We do review before the first payout.

Your referral code is generated for you. This is not us being precious about names: an open sign-up where people choose their own code is an open invitation to claim a brand that is not theirs. If you want a specific code for a campaign, ask and we will usually say yes.

3. How referrals are attributed

When someone follows your link, their browser remembers your code for 30 days. The only thing that has to happen inside that window is that they create a Level Up account.

After that there is no further deadline. The family may take the assessment, start a free trial, or first subscribe months or years later, and the referral is still yours. The window governs sign-up, not payment.

If someone follows a different partner’s link after yours, the more recent one is credited. If a family arrives through one of our own paid advertisements and a partner link is also present, we review that referral before approving any commission on it.

Attribution requires a new account. A family who already has a Level Up account cannot be re-attributed.

4. What we pay

You earn 30% of every payment an attributed family makes, for as long as they keep paying. There is no cap and no cut-off month. If a family adds another child, the amount they pay rises and your commission rises with it.

Commission is earned on paid subscriptions only. Free trials that are canceled before they convert, and accounts that never pay, earn nothing.

If a payment is refunded or charged back, the commission on that specific payment is reversed. Earlier payments from the same family are not affected. If the commission had already been paid to you, it is deducted from your next payout.

5. When we pay

Each commission is held for 35 days after the payment it relates to, so that it has cleared our money-back guarantee. After that it becomes payable.

We pay monthly, between the 15th and the 20th, for the previous month, by PayPal. You need at least $100 of payable commission for a payout to be released; below that it rolls forward to the next month.

Because a family runs a free trial before their first payment, and that payment then has to clear the window above, expect roughly two months between a referral and the first money reaching you. Commission is earned on each payment a family makes, and each one is released once it has cleared the window above.

6. Tax

You are responsible for your own taxes. We are established in Romania, and Romanian law requires us to account for withholding tax on commissions paid to people outside Romania.

We bear that tax rather than deducting it from you. The rate quoted in section 4 is what reaches your account.

Before your first payout we will ask for the details we need to meet those obligations, which may include your legal name, address, date of birth and a form of identification. We keep only what the filing requires. If you are a US taxpayer earning more than a nominal amount and would prefer to supply a certificate of fiscal residence instead, tell us and we will explain the alternative.

7. How you may promote

Say what you actually think. Do not describe Level Up in ways that are not true, and do not invent results, prices, or features. If you are unsure whether a claim is accurate, ask.

You must disclose that your link is paid, clearly and near the link itself. In the US this is required by the FTC.

Your link must carry rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow". This is Google’s requirement for any link acquired through a commercial arrangement, and an unmarked one can get your own site penalised. We would rather tell you than have you find out from a traffic drop.

8. What is not allowed

  • Bidding on “Level Up”, “Level Up Math”, or close variants in paid search. That buys traffic we are already paying for.
  • Posting your link to coupon, deal, or cashback sites.
  • Referring yourself, your own household, or accounts you control.
  • Unsolicited bulk email, automated posting, or any promotion that would breach the rules of the platform you are posting on.
  • Registering domains, social accounts, or app listings that use our name or imply you are us.
  • Anything that misrepresents your relationship with Level Up.

9. Suspension and termination

Either of us may end this arrangement at any time. If you leave, or we end it, commission already earned and not reversed is still paid on the normal schedule.

We may suspend an account while we look into something. Suspension pauses payouts; it does not cancel commission that turns out to be legitimate. If we end the arrangement because of a breach of section 8, unpaid commission connected to that breach is forfeited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, including the commission rate. If a change reduces what you earn, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email first, and families attributed to you before the change keep the previous rate for 12 months after it takes effect.

This clause exists because commission is lifetime. Without it, a rate set today would bind us permanently for every family a partner ever referred, which is not a promise anyone should make.
